Paul Rudd<\/a> has a secret uncredited voice cameo in The Bear<\/a> that fans may have missed.<\/p>\nBack in season 1, episode 8, Neil Fak (Matty Matheson<\/a>) hallucinates a conversation with The Bear\u2019s Ballbreaker arcade game character.<\/p>\nWhile fans have long theorized that the Marvel star<\/a> is the voice behind the character, Matheson confirms the actor\u2019s cameo to PEOPLE.<\/p>\n\u201cI thought everyone did know,\u201d Matheson, 44, tells PEOPLE of Rudd voicing the video game character on the show\u2019s first season, noting that the Anaconda star<\/a> is good friends with The Bear creator Christopher Storer.<\/p>\n\u201cPaul and Chris are very good buddies,\u201d he adds. \u201cSo I think it was a way to get his homie in there, and it was a funny, easy thing. So, yeah, I’m pretty sure Paul’s the voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matheson says the \u201cPaul Rubb\u201d signature is an inside joke from a name flub he made years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cRubb was the joke,\u201d says Matheson. \u201cI met Paul Rudd once \u2014 well, I didn’t really meet him, but he was walking away from me \u2014 and I said, ‘Hi, Paul Rubb.’ And Chris heard me. He was like, \u2018Did you just call him Paul Rubb?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI was like, \u2018No,\u2019\u201d Matheson said sheepishly.<\/p>\n
