{"id":2477398,"date":"2026-06-26T19:36:46","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T19:36:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2477398"},"modified":"2026-06-26T19:36:46","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T19:36:46","slug":"xavier-rudd-releases-new-single-featuring-voice-of-dr-jane-goodall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/xavier-rudd-releases-new-single-featuring-voice-of-dr-jane-goodall\/","title":{"rendered":"Xavier Rudd Releases New Single Featuring Voice of Dr Jane Goodall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Australian singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd has returned today with a brand new single, \u201cPart of Life\u201d, that also features the voice of the late <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/au.rollingstone.com\/culture\/culture-news\/jane-goodall-death-cause-revealed-86003\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Jane Goodall<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An ode to women and \u201cinspired by life\u201d, the song is also complemented with an animated music video from Jarrad Wright (<em>The Big Lez Show<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to have a feminine voice, a calm feminine voice, to end the song and to kind of have a bit of a bubble with this feminine wisdom,\u201d Rudd tells\u00a0<em>Rolling Stone AU\/NZ<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe front half of the song is very masculine, and I wanted to show that side of our female elders and almost like a reminder to people to remember to listen to our women. After watching a documentary with my wife, she mentioned that Jane Goodall would be great in that space, and that\u2019s where the idea came from. She\u2019s one of those old-school activists who don\u2019t come along very often. She\u2019s done amazing things in the world, and when I wanted to find that voice of a strong, feminine elder, she was perfect. She fits the bill in so many ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While fans are hoping this is the first taste of more new music since last year\u2019s <em>Where To Now\u00a0<\/em>EP, the Victorian-born singer has more up his sleeve, and even wants to tour the country again in 2027 following a European run this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been a long time now since I\u2019ve done an extensive tour of Australia.
