Muse frontman Matt Bellamy <\/b><\/a>has broken his silence after separating from wife Elle Evans <\/b>following six years of marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s one of those situations that involves something that people wouldn\u2019t normally think it is,\u201d Bellamy, 48, told The i Paper<\/i><\/span><\/a> <\/i>in a profile published Friday, June 26. \u201cIt was a set of really unexpected circumstances. It\u2019s the kind of thing no one really prepares for in life.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cIt threw me off, and I had to prioritize looking after the kids and creating stability at home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bellamy and Evans, 36, had been married since 2019<\/a>. The pair, who share two children, never previously addressed their separation.<\/p>\n

For Bellamy, he channeled his emotions into Muse\u2019s upcoming album, The Wow! Signal<\/i>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just, \u2018Boom.\u2019 It would just pour out of me,\u201d he recalled of his songwriting process. \u201cIt might have been the easiest album for me to make because it was such a catharsis. It became a lifeline for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Bellamy wrote The Wow! Signal <\/i>amidst \u201cin the depths of this life-changing experience,\u201d he has since moved on. Even still, it can be difficult to listen to the emotionally charged songs.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Shimmering Scars\u2019 is tricky,\u201d he acknowledged. \u201cI think \u2018Space Debris\u2019 is one of my most personal tunes, but it\u2019s not all darkness. [\u2018Nightshift Superstar\u2019 is about] how me and my ex used to go to Burning Man and just dance all night long. The whole album isn\u2019t just whining.\u201d<\/p>\n
