Former costars Jane Seymour<\/strong><\/a> and Joe Lando\u2019s onscreen love affair on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman<\/em>\u00a0carried over to real life \u2014 but their offscreen romance didn\u2019t last long.<\/p>\n

The pair chatted to Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> about their reunion on AcornTV\u2019s Harry Wild<\/em> in a TikTok video posted on Friday, June 26, with Seymour, 75, laughing while insisting that it was Lando\u2019s idea for them to \u201cjust be friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was my fault,\u201d Lando, 64, confessed, with Seymour adding. \u201cI think it was your choice. I was a little sad. But then I also did the match and I realized that you had planned to have a life that didn\u2019t include suddenly having two other children.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Seymour had already shared two children \u2014 daughter Katherine<\/strong>, 44, and son Sean<\/strong>, 40 \u2014 with her third husband, Dylan Flynn<\/strong>. (She later welcomed twin sons, John<\/strong> and Kristopher<\/strong>, 30, with her fourth husband, James Keach<\/strong>. Seymour and Keach split in 2015.)<\/p>\n

Lando\u2019s rugged outdoorsman Byron Sully was the most popular love interest for Seymour\u2019s title character, Dr. Michaela Quinn, during the CBS drama\u2019s six-season run from 1993 to 1998.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think, actually, the fact that we did not end up having a relationship saved our relationship,\u201d Seymour told her costar. \u201cThe best part of our relationship, we\u2019ve kept and grown up, which is that we really, genuinely adore each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seymour added, \u201c[Joe] has a fabulous wife and I have a pretty good man in my life!\u201d<\/p>\n

Lando has been married to Kirsten Barlow<\/strong> for 29 years and they share four children while Seymour announced her engagement<\/a> to musician John Zambetti<\/strong> earlier this month.<\/p>\n

In 2019, Seymour was less light-hearted about her split<\/a> from Lando, recalling that it was \u201cdifficult\u201d and \u201ctough\u201d to work with him after they broke up.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t actually talk to each other, other than in dialogue or making out for about six or seven years,\u201d Seymour exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the time. \u201cWe, obviously, clearly loved one another and realized we couldn\u2019t be actually in real-life together. I think we just played it [off] as Michaela and Sully.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two have since mended fences and are even working together again<\/a> on Harry Wild<\/em>, in which Seymour plays a retired literary professor who solves mysteries in her spare time. (Lando joined Harry Wild in season 5 as pathologist Pierce Kennedy.)<\/p>\n
