Channel 4 has confirmed a new cast of famous faces joining Celebrity Gogglebox<\/a> later this week, as the series returns for a milestone 50th episode.<\/p>\n Now in its eighth season, Celebrity Gogglebox features a rolling cast of famous faces as they sit back and watch the week’s big shows, sharing their occasionally insightful but frequently hilarious points of view.<\/p>\n Kicking off on Friday 5 June, some of the new famous faces joining the Gogglebox family include British TV royalty in Julian Clary<\/strong> and Nigel Havers<\/strong>, as well as Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> contestants George Clarke<\/strong> and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey<\/strong>, aka Nitro from Gladiators.<\/p>\n Clarke will be joined by his Useless Hotline podcast co-host Max Balegde<\/strong>, while Matt Morsia<\/strong> \u2013 Legend from Gladiators \u2013 will be alongside Aikines-Aryeetey.<\/p>\n TV personality Olivia Attwood<\/strong> and her mum Jennifer will also be taking to the sofa to react to the great and the good of the small screen.<\/p>\n George Clarke and Max Balegde.\u00a0Channel 4<\/span><\/p>\n Ahead of the new episodes, Clary \u2013 also a former Strictly contestant \u2013 said: “Doing Celebrity Gogglebox was an absolute treat, a perfectly civilised way to spend an evening.<\/p>\n “I do like to think my commentary brought a certain level of refinement to proceedings, and Nigel managed to stay awake, although there is an unsightly stain on my sofa.”<\/p>\n Former Coronation Street<\/a> actor Havers commented: “It\u2019s a dream come true working with Julian on Gogglebox. I can\u2019t think of a better way to spend an evening… (Julian wrote this).”<\/p>\n Accept and continue<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Elsewhere, Clarke said: “I loved it, mainly because it gave me a full excuse to take the mick out of Max on national TV. He reacts to everything, so you\u2019re never bored. It\u2019s so easy to get into as well, you just sit there, say exactly what you\u2019re thinking, and before you know it, we\u2019ve gone completely off track!”<\/p>\n And Aikines-Aryeetey added: “Filming Celebrity Gogglebox was pure fun from start to finish, just a proper night-in full of laughs, brilliant TV, and plenty of unexpected moments.
