Kimberly Van Der Beek <\/b><\/a>still feels her late husband James Van Der Beek<\/b><\/a>\u2019s presence nearly four months after his death at 48.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaby, love does not die. Death does not part,\u201d Kimberly, 44, wrote via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on Saturday, June 28, sharing throwback photos of the couple.<\/p>\n

Kimberly shared additional family photos via her Instagram Stories, recalling how James \u201cwas always building something with a child in tow.\u201d<\/p>\n

James died in February<\/span><\/a> after battling stage III colorectal cancer. The Dawson\u2019s Creek <\/i>star is survived by Kimberly and their six children.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning. He met his final days with courage, faith and grace,\u201d Kimberly wrote in a statement shared via social media at the time, announcing James\u2019 death. \u201cThere is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity, and the sacredness of time. Those days will come. For now we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve our loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the months since James\u2019 death, Kimberly has been candid about her bereavement journey<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday was three months since we lost @vanderjames. To say I\u2019m heartbroken is a severe understatement. Words just don\u2019t capture what grief is,\u201d she captioned an Instagram tribute last month. \u201cThe comforts of shock have worn off. The reality is settling in \u2026 and I miss him. We all miss him. Yet, there is a different kind of magic in the air.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued at the time, \u201cI feel him. I know him more deeply. My conscious connection to God has deepened. The veils of the universe have thinned. And I trust that this is the path me and my family have always been intended to walk. The outpouring of support has been tremendous. It\u2019s held our family in the most beautiful of ways.\u201d<\/p>\n
