Dutton Ranch<\/em>\u2018s Natalie Alyn Lind<\/strong> is aware that her character, Oreana, has Yellowstone<\/em><\/a> fans divided.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love playing a character that\u2019s loved and hated,\u201d Lind, 26, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> during a joint interview with Finn Little<\/strong>. \u201cI love seeing the fan responses.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress has enjoyed the varied reaction<\/a>, adding, \u201cThere\u2019s something that I giggle about every time that somebody really hates my character because then I\u2019m doing my job right. Because my character is not supposed to be a lovable character necessarily. She\u2019s supposed to create a conversation which has been happening and that\u2019s the best thing in my opinion.\u201d<\/p>\n

While not everyone has understood Oreana\u2019s intentions, Lind was thrilled about the challenge.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDutton Ranch is officially renewed \u2014 but not everyone is coming back in season 2. Paramount+\u2019s hit franchise started with Yellowstone, which premiered in 2018 and introduced viewers to the fictional Dutton family. The show came to an end in 2024, expanding its universe with Luke Grimes\u2018 CBS show Marshals and Dutton Ranch. \u201cAs Beth [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s been the most exciting part about playing her and that\u2019s what I wanted to do while filming the show,\u201d she shared. \u201cI think that she\u2019s a character with a ton of levels.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lind is hoping to learn more about Oreana in future seasons<\/a>. \u201cThe Duttons have been seen for so many years that hopefully with more seasons to come, you\u2019re going to start finding out more about her background,\u201d she teased. \u201cWhen we started the show, they sat us down and had a conversation about where they came from.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cThere\u2019s a lot more that has not been seen or told about Oreana that I\u2019m really excited for people to find out. That might explain some of it \u2014 not all of it. The behavior sometimes is not redeemable but I think that some parts of her will still, people will look back and be like, \u2018Oh, that\u2019s why.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Yellowstone viewers met Oreana through her romance<\/a> with Carter (Little), who grew up on the Paramount Network show. When the franchise expanded with Dutton Ranch, Carter was back \u2014 but this time as a high school student preparing for adulthood.<\/p>\n

Carter\u2019s first relationship has crashed and burned so far after Oreana took a step back from their romance in the most recent episode of the show.<\/p>\n
