\u201cReal Time\u201d host Bill Maher<\/a>, speaking with Vice President JD Vance<\/a> Friday, maligned the recent election victories in New York by three democratic socialist candidates<\/a> and said his vote may soon land with a different party.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cIf this is where the Democratic Party<\/a> is going, with the democratic socialists. This obsession with Israel, the Jew hating, with, they don\u2019t believe in capitalism, no prisons. If this is where they\u2019re going, my vote is in play,\u201d Maher said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cOK, I like to hear that,\u201d Vance said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Maher added that he has always considered both parties when casting his vote, but has previously always come down on the side of the Democrats<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Vance seemed pleased by this seemingly revelatory statement by Maher, but quickly had to go on the defensive when the comedian announced his dealbreaker when it comes to voting Republican. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cUnder Trump, you guys have two outcomes that an election can be,\u201d Maher said. \u201cEither we win, or they cheated. That shit has to stop. And that means the person who has to stop it is you. Or, Marco [Rubio].\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Maher pressed Vance on whether he, as the Republican nominee in 2028, would \u201cbring us back to the middle\u201d where \u201cwe concede elections,\u201d as President Donald Trump<\/a> did not do in 2020 when he lost to Joe Biden<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Vance obfuscated the question, claiming his biggest problem with the 2020 election was \u201ctechnology companies\u201d that were \u201ccensoring negative information about the left, and promoting negative information about the right.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Vance claimed that because there wasn\u2019t a \u201cfree and open debate\u201d in 2020, the election was somehow illegitimate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cThe sense in which I think the election in 2020 was rigged, I\u2019m sorry, is that you had technology companies that were putting their thumb on the scale in a way that completely obliterated the real open exchange of ideas,\u201d Vance said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n The vice president said he did not share the same sentiment regarding the 2024 election. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWell, you\u2019re gonna get a big pat on the back when you go back to the White House,\u201d Maher said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Watch a clip from Vance\u2019s interview with Maher here: <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
