RuPaul’s Drag Race <\/em>season 14 alum and All Stars 11<\/em> queen Jasmine Kennedie exclusively tells Entertainment Weekly <\/em>who dropped out of AS11<\/em> before filming.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Jasmine says a famous queen from the franchise’s past was set to join the purple bracket.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The queen in question confirms the news to EW, promising that she “really did try to make it happen.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n The RuPaul’s Drag Race<\/em><\/a> All Stars 11<\/em><\/a> purple bracket might’ve looked a lot different \u2014 and included a few more middle fingers from RuPaul<\/a> \u2014 if the original cast of queens came to fruition.<\/p>\n As All Stars 11 <\/em>advancing queen Jasmine Kennedie<\/a> exclusively reveals to Entertainment Weekly, <\/em>season 13 queen Utica<\/a>, who famously elicited Mama Ru’s middle finger during the comedy roast and finished as runner-up on Project Runway<\/em> season 21<\/a>, was originally meant to compete alongside her on AS11<\/em>.<\/p>\n “I’m going to be honest, I was so happy I found she dropped out because I wouldn’t have advanced if she was there,” Jasmine says, referencing Utica’s prowess as a seamstress, which the drag superstar used to compete on Project Runway<\/em> under real name Ethan Mundt.<\/p>\n Jasmine’s purple bracket sister, season 11’s Shuga Cain<\/a>, echoes the sentiment: “You would not have won that first [sewing challenge]” she quips.<\/p>\n When EW reached out to Utica for confirmation, the Project Runway<\/em><\/a> alum confirms the news and explains why she ultimately wasn’t able to join her sisters in the Werk Room once again.<\/p>\n “I really did try to make it happen, but unfortunately it just wasn\u2019t possible in the end because of Project Runway<\/em> interviews leading up to the season,” Utica says. “Filming of All <\/em>Starzzz<\/em><\/a> was right after filming of Project Runway<\/em> and before the airing of [Project Runway<\/em>]. I was originally casted with Joey [Jay]<\/a> as sisters [from season 13], but Sam Star<\/a> took my spot last minute.”<\/p>\n Utica adds, “It would\u2019ve been a hell of a turnaround to make it happen, but I\u2019m very much enjoying watching this season and being there for my sisters along the way!”<\/p>\n Utica ultimately finished Drag Race <\/em>season 13 in sixth place and made it all the way to the Project Runway <\/em>finale after wowing judges on both programs with her refined sewing skills.<\/p>\n In a 2025 interview about his time on Project Runway<\/em>, Mundt told EW<\/a> about whether or not he’d ever join a future season of Drag Race All Stars<\/em> or an all-star edition of the Project Runway<\/em> series.<\/p>\n
