Oliver Tree<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s family is sharing his touching obituary and information about his celebration of life after the singer died at age 32<\/a> in a helicopter crash.<\/p>\n

\u201cA celebration of his life\/ memorial service will be held at the UCSC Quarry Amphitheater on July 25th,\u201d Tree\u2019s family<\/a> wrote in a statement shared via the late artist\u2019s official Instagram page on Friday, June 26. \u201cDue to limited space for family and friends, this event will also be streamed live.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement continued, \u201cThe family requests donations be made to \u201cDr. Oliver Tree\u2019s Extremely Epic Art Grant for Baby Geniuses<\/a>.\u201d The non-profit was founded by the performance artist, who had a \u201cvision\u201d to \u201csupport and encourage young artists to follow their dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tree, full name Oliver Tree Nickell, died in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, on June 14 after two helicopters collided mid-air. The \u201cLife Goes On\u201d singer had performed in S\u00e3o Paulo prior to his death as part of his seven continent world tour. All six people on board the two aircrafts \u2014 five in one helicopter and a pilot in the other \u2014 perished in the crash.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSinger-songwriter Oliver Tree\u2019s body has been recovered and returned to the United States following his death in Brazil. \u201cOliver is now back in California where he can finally rest,\u201d stated a Sunday, June 21, Instagram post shared via the late musician and artist\u2019s Instagram account. The post was the account\u2019s first since Tree was killed [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In addition to sharing memorial service information to Tree\u2019s countless fans, the family also shared the singer\u2019s touching obituary, covering his prolific life from his birth in Santa Cruz, California, to his success as a recording artist, producer, filmmaker and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cOliver had a deep curiosity about the world and wanted to experience every country and culture. Over the past two years, Oliver was a global citizen, visiting over 100 countries: eating local cuisine; connecting with locals of all kinds; participating in ceremonies; giving concerts; and recording music on his laptop,\u201d his obituary read in part. \u201cHe went to the Middle East, sailed in Antarctica and became an honorary Maasai tribal chief in Tanzania.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post continued, \u201cOliver was more than a musician; he was a true artist in every sense of the word, seeing the world as a stage for his performance art. He pushed boundaries in every form of media and life. Oliver was on a mission to bring the world together through art and inspiring other artists to create. Being a forward thinker, Oliver created a non-profit entitled \u2018Dr. Oliver Tree\u2019s Extremely Epic Art Grant for Baby Geniuses.\u2019 He wanted all of his money to go into funding other aspiring artists in all facets: music, film, installation and performance art projects.\u201d<\/p>\n

The late singer\u2019s obituary also highlighted his goal of \u201cspreading art, joy, laughter and love into the world,\u201d pinpointing the singer\u2019s unique ability to blend his performance art with his own identity.<\/p>\n
