Set in the beach town of Cannon Cove, Oregon, Hallmark Channel<\/a>\u2018s A Castle of Our Own<\/a> channels sandy, summer fun through a sandcastle competition that just might bring a woman and her daughter together, but also might bring that woman a new love story. The new movie centers on \u201coverworked architect\u201d Marley (Erica Cerra<\/a>). After she meets a contractor named Adam (Brennan Elliott<\/a>), he reminds her to live for herself and the people she loves as opposed to solely her job.<\/p>\n

A Castle of Our Own wraps up Hallmark\u2019s Summer Nights movie lineup, following The Greek Aisle<\/a>, Texas Two-Step<\/a>, and The Love Heist<\/a>. Next up? Christmas in July, which not only brings a merry movie marathon of Christmas movies past and four new ones to join Hallmark\u2019s Christmassy catalog, but also a new season of Christmas at Sea<\/a> on Hallmark+<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Marley (Erica Cerra) is dying to spend more time with her daughter Lily, but is prevented from doing so by her job as a strip mall architect. She maintains a healthy relationship with her ex-husband, though both of them struggle to find the quality time to give to their daughter.<\/p>\n

    A Castle of Our Own marks Cerra\u2019s fourth Hallmark Channel movie, with her most recent being 2024\u2019s A Dance in the Snow<\/a>. Outside of the network, Cerra\u2019s TV work includes Eureka<\/a>, The 100<\/a>, and Nancy Drew<\/a>. She is also known for lending her voice to the role of Susan in the animated Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Brennan Elliott stars as Adam, a contractor residing in Cannon Cove who struggles to finish work on his home while he is navigating his wife leaving him. A proud uncle to his niece Paige, he is full of sage wisdom, and is likely to drop an insightful one-liner.<\/p>\n

    Elliott is one of the network\u2019s stars, starring in over 20 Hallmark Channel movies. Before A Castle of Our Own, he starred alongside Lacey Chabert<\/a> in 2024\u2019s His & Hers<\/a>, which marked their tenth movie together<\/a> for the network.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Sarah Sheehan plays Lily, Marley\u2019s daughter who not only is struggling to secure quality time with her workaholic parents, but also with her friends at home. Fortunately, her upcoming trip to Cannon Cove presents her with the opportunity to make a friend and strengthen her relationship with her mother.<\/p>\n

    This film is Sheehan\u2019s first Hallmark Channel movie. Per IMDb<\/a>, Sheehan is set to appear in Prime Video<\/a>\u2018s Legally Blonde<\/a> prequel series, Elle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Barbara Pollard plays Betty Finch, the enthusiastic mayor of Cannon Cove who is thrilled to welcome everyone to the beach town\u2019s annual sandcastle competition.<\/p>\n

    This is certainly not Pollard\u2019s first Hallmark movie, as she starred in last year\u2019s Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper! <\/a> Her TV credits include The X-Files<\/a>, R.L. Stine\u2019s The Haunting Hour, Chesapeake Shores<\/a>, and Virgin River<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Paige (played by Sophie Thom) is Adam\u2019s niece, who is excited to find a friend in Marley\u2019s daughter, Lily, when they arrive in Cannon Cove.<\/p>\n

    Thom most recently appeared in episodes of The Hunting Party<\/a> and Family Law<\/a>. She is also set to appear in Prime Video\u2019s Elle, per IMDb<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Sadie (Kendra Anderson) is Adam\u2019s sister and Paige\u2019s mother, who encourages Adam to make a move with Marley and also get a move on finishing his house. She also assists with signups for the annual sandcastle-building competition.<\/p>\n

    Anderson most recently appeared in Lifetime<\/a>\u2018s Accused: The Karen Read Story. The last time she appeared in a Hallmark project was an episode of the network\u2019s drama series Signed, Sealed, Delivered in 2014.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Over the course of Lewis\u2019 decades-long career, he has appeared in shows such as John Doe<\/a>, The L Word<\/a>, Smallville<\/a>, Girlfriends\u2019 Guide to Divorce<\/a>, Unspeakable<\/a>, Cruel Summer<\/a>, and Tracker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
