Jon & Kate Plus 8 <\/i>alum Collin Gosselin <\/b><\/a>has a not-so-subtle message for his mother, Kate Gosselin<\/b><\/a>, amid their ongoing estrangement and ahead of his tell-all memoir\u2019s release.<\/p>\n

Collin, 22, took to his Instagram Stories on Saturday, June 27, to repost a news report claiming that Kate, 51, was \u201cspiraling\u201d about the contents of her son\u2019s forthcoming book. (In addition to Collin, Kate and ex-husband Jon Gosselin <\/b>are parents of twins Mady and Cara, 25, and sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Alexis, Leah, Joel and Aaden, all 22.)<\/p>\n

Collin\u2019s social media activity also included a screenshot of a fan\u2019s comment that read, \u201cWhat\u2019s done in darkness will always come to light.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us Weekly <\/i>exclusively revealed the cover<\/span><\/a> of Collin\u2019s debut book, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood<\/i>, earlier this month. The memoir is set to look back on Collin\u2019s childhood as a young reality TV star and his troubled relationship with Kate.<\/p>\n

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, which was published on Monday, November 28, the 18-year-old referred to his childhood relationship with Kate, now 47, as \u201cworse than what you would say the average teenage [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis book is about truth, survival, resilience and finding my voice after years of being silenced,\u201d Collin told Us.<\/i> \u201cIf my story helps even one person feel less alone or gives them the courage to tell their own, then every difficult page was worth writing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kate has not publicly addressed Collin\u2019s book announcement. She has denied her son\u2019s previous accusations about his upbringing.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere on Saturday, Collin shared footage from a new YouTube interview where he asked Kate to complete a lie detector test.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did just say on social media that I would like to invite my mom to do a lie detector test,\u201d Collin told \u201cStrangeMcKnights\u201d in an interview<\/span><\/a> published on Saturday, referring to his social media invitation<\/span><\/a> from September 2025. \u201cI want to get into everything, and this is where we are both hooked up to lie detectors, heart monitors, everything. I mean, they test for everything and we can either ask each other questions or we can have an interviewer ask us questions.\u201d<\/p>\n
