He had one hit.<\/p>\n<p>Lynch couldn&#8217;t have picked a better time to deliver, though. The Rochester Royals&#8217; left fielder drilled a 1-0 pitch to center field with two outs in the bottom of the 13th inning, and Gavin Klennert cruised home from second base to give the Royals a 3-2 victory against the Lakeville Loonatics at Mayo Field.<\/p>\n<p>Rochester took a 2-1 lead into the top of the ninth, but Lakeville scratched out a run on a sacrifice fly to tie the score and force extra innings.<\/p>\n<p>The Royals took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, when Lynch led off with a walk then scored on an Owen Kelly base hit two batters later.<\/p>\n<p>Rochester extended its lead to 2-0 in the sixth, when Kelly reached on an error with two outs, then leadoff hitter Mike Michalak drove him in with a base hit to left field.<\/p>\n<p>Lakeville answered with one run in the seventh and the tying run in the ninth to send the game to extra innings, where Lynch delivered the clutch two-out hit.<\/p>\n<p>The Royals received strong outings from three pitchers. Starter Kasey Carlson went seven innings and scattered nine hits, allowing just one run in that span, while recording eight strikeouts.<\/p>\n<p>Aaron Terpstra then went four innings in relief, allowing a run on three hits, with five strikeouts.<\/p>\n<p>Brayden Kottschade threw the final two innings and earned the win.
