Trafalgar Entertainment<\/a> has acquired London\u00a0Theatre Company, a transaction that includes venues The Bridge Theatre and the immersive\u00a0Lightroom in King’s Cross. LTC was established in 2017 by Nicholas Hytner<\/a> and Nick Starr<\/a>, starting up the Bridge after a 12-year tenure at the head of London’s National Theatre. The Bridge has since become one of London’s most major venues, recently hosting notable revivals of\u00a0Into the Woods<\/em> and\u00a0Guys and Dolls<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cBuilding the Bridge Theatre and working on its repertoire with a host of extraordinarily talented people has been a thrilling experience,”\u00a0says Hytner in a statement. “I couldn\u2019t be more admiring of the artists and colleagues who have been responsible for making so many memorable productions and creating a theatre that has quickly become a favorite destination for audiences. And I\u2019m extremely grateful to those audiences for their enthusiasm and loyalty. After nine years, it feels like the right time to be moving on, and I\u2019m very happy that its new owners, Trafalgar Entertainment, will be taking it into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we began this project, we wanted to build a theatre that felt genuinely contemporary\u2014flexible, ambitious, and open to as many people as possible,” adds Starr. “Since then, The Bridge has become home to an extraordinary range of productions and artists and has shown how adaptable and resilient theatre can be.
