We\u2019re getting closer and closer to the reported date of Taylor Swift\u2019s wedding<\/a>, and as with most things that have to do with Swift, everyone\u2019s got an opinion about both her and her upcoming nuptials. And though a lot of those opinions are positive, there\u2019s a fair number of people who are pointing out the excess involved in the upcoming celebration.<\/p>\n And of course, there are always some people who just don\u2019t like Swift. That\u2019s what happens when you\u2019re a superstar. It featured performances from Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Miranda Lambert. It also featured a video from Swift, who thanked Jackson for his influence and the \u201csupport and encouragement\u201d he\u2019s shown her throughout her career.<\/p>\n Swift\u2019s video was met with both cheers and boos, as can be seen in videos here<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Fans quickly came to Swift\u2019s defense in the comments. \u201cWell that\u2019s not nice,\u201d one person wrote. Another one said, \u201cThat is so disgusting and disrespectful,\u201d with a third comment adding, \u201cThe concept of booing a heartfelt and supportive message towards someone you came to see and support is insane to me.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cClearly Alan likes her, why couldn\u2019t his fans have some basic respect?\u201d someone else wrote. Yet another commenter added, \u201cyou\u2019re allowed to not like her but at least respect her as a person.\u201d<\/p>\n There were even suggestions that Swift\u2019s political leanings might have been the reason the conservative-leaning crowd might have reacted the way it did.<\/p>\n What is known, however, is that Swift has been in the headlines because of her upcoming wedding<\/a> to Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce<\/a>. And according to Hollywood insider Rob Shuter, a lot of people are less than pleased about possible street closures around the reported venue of Madison Square Garden. The wedding is reported to take place over the 4th of July weekend.<\/p>\n \u201cNew Yorkers already spend enough time sitting in traffic,\u201d a source told Shuter\u2019s\u00a0Naughty But Nice<\/a>. \u201cThe reaction is, \u2018Isn\u2019t Madison Square Garden big enough? Now you need the streets too?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPeople are trying to get home from work, catch trains, or leave the city for the July Fourth weekend. Nobody wants to hear that their commute could be disrupted because two very rich people are throwing a wedding,\u201d another one said.<\/p>\n There are even comparisons to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez\u2019s wedding<\/a> in Venice. \u201cAfter Venice, you\u2019d think celebrities would understand that people don\u2019t like feeling their city has been turned into a private party,\u201d another insider said. \u201cThat\u2019s exactly what this risks looking like.\u201d<\/p>\n And even some fans are a little upset. \u201cTaylor\u2019s gift has always been knowing how ordinary people think,\u201d a Swiftie said. \u201cThis feels different. The mood is, \u2018Why should my day be harder because of a pop star and a football player?\u2018\u201c<\/p>\n It\u2019s all above board, permits have been filed. But, \u201cpeople don\u2019t care who filed the permits. They see street closures, traffic delays, and a celebrity wedding.
