Unlike the protagonist in Psycho, the narrator gets away and doesn’t end up in their car in a swamp.<\/p>\n “Ultimately it wouldn\u2019t be a song from the \u2018spokesman of a generation\u2019 if it didn\u2019t work in some sort of political statement as Dylan, unlike Marion in\u00a0Psycho,\u00a0is saved by the freedom of speech act and its necessary power to antagonise.” Far Out Magazine<\/a> wrote about the track.<\/p>\n As previously mentioned, Dylan mentions that the daughter just stepped out of the \u201cLa Dolce Vita\u201d (which translaes as \u201cthe sweet life\u201d). The influential Italian director\u00a0Federico Fellini\u00a0made a film with that title, which around the time was hugely popular with artsy crowds.
