\u201cYou know, the last 4 or 5 times he\u2019s been public about me, it\u2019s all back to yelling and screaming,\u201d Maher told celebrity.land<\/a> on the red carpet. <\/strong>\u201cI\u2019m this, I\u2019m terrible, I\u2019m a lunatic liberal, I\u2019m a lunatic, I\u2019m a lightweight, I\u2019m a jerk. So we\u2019re back to that. It\u2019s OK. I would rather be still talking than the politics of \u2018You don\u2019t even exist; you\u2019re too deplorable even to acknowledge.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Maher continued, \u201cI\u2019d rather be fighting and yelling. And that\u2019s just his way of talking to people. You know, you just gotta have to accept it. I\u2019d rather the channels be open, and anything is better than channels just being shut off.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Maher recently may have re-ingratiated himself with Trump by saying his political support was up for grabs<\/a> after victories by multiple progressive candidates in the New York primary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIf this is where the Democratic Party<\/a> is going, with the democratic socialists. This obsession with Israel, the Jew hating, with, they don\u2019t believe in capitalism, no prisons. If this is where they\u2019re going, my vote is in play,\u201d Maher said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
