Many people know her as a talented childhood actor from \u2018Lilo &amp; Stitch,\u2019 \u2018Spirited Away,\u2019 and \u2018Donnie Darko.\u2019 But behind the scenes, she\u2019s faced more than her share of hardship,\u201d Hernandez shared in the campaign\u2019s bio. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a difficult childhood and a painful falling out with her family, Daveigh was bullied and struggled to find safety and happiness in downtown LA. When we met, I promised to protect her and give her the love and comfort she deserved. Together, we found moments of happiness and hope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the time of the campaign\u2019s creation, Chase\u2019s condition had \u201cbecome critical,\u201d with doctors telling Hernandez \u201cshe may not have much time left.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy.
