A cause of death has been revealed for 35-year-old former child actor Daveigh Chase, known for her roles in “Lilo & Stitch” and “The Ring.”<\/p>\n
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner indicated Chase’s cause of death was acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS<\/a>) with chronic polysubstance use, taking more than one drug at the same time, listed under other significant conditions.<\/p>\n Chase died June 16<\/a> at a hospital, her father said in a text message to NBC News<\/a>. Chase, who starred in Disney\u2019s hit movie “Lilo & Stitch” in 2002 as the voice of Lilo, had been homeless and living in Los Angeles near the hospital, her father said.<\/p>\n Chase also had roles in the TV adaptation of the film from 2003 to 2006.<\/p>\n She also had roles in “ER,” “Charmed,” “The Practice” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.”<\/p>\n In 2002’s horror film “The Ring” about a cursed VHS tape, Chase portrayed the child ghost Samara.
