King Charles and Prince William allegedly aren’t the only members of the royal family whose relationships with Prince Harry have become strained since he married Meghan Markle in 2018.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
A royal expert has revealed that the Duke of Sussex has “barely spoken” to his cousin Zara Tindall in recent years, despite the pair once being incredibly close.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 41-year-old royal is even said to have played a major role in Zara, 45, meeting her now-husband Mike Tindall during the 2003 Rugby World Cup.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Now, Duncan Larcombe has told Woman Magazine this week that Harry has “all but lost touch with his one-time playmate Zara”, according to sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“I understand they have barely spoken in the years since the prince met and married Meghan,” Larcombe added.<\/p>\n
“Not only are they said to have drifted apart, but the old close friendship they once enjoyed has, I understand, almost entirely evaporated.”<\/p>\n
Harry and his cousin haven’t been seen in public together since King Charles III’s coronation in 2023, where they were spotted enjoying a brief interaction.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Zara’s husband Mike took a cheeky swipe at Harry earlier this year, joking in a live interview that he knew the Duke of Sussex “when he was fun”.<\/p>\n
The former England rugby star made the four-word jab while appearing at the Hay Literary Festival in Powys alongside his The Good, The Bad and The Rugby podcast co-hosts James Haskell and Alex Payne.<\/p>\n
Looking back on his 2011 wedding to Zara, the 47-year-old joked that Haskell had managed to avoid embarrassing himself during the nuptials – unlike some other guests.<\/p>\n
“A lot of other people managed that way better than you \u2013 [like] Harry, when he was fun,” he joked, The Times reported.<\/p>\n
Harry, along with his wife Meghan, 44, and their two children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, are expected to visit the United Kingdom between July 6 and July 10 after living in the United States for four years.<\/p>\n
The family will be embarking on the transatlantic trip to attend the One Year To Go Invictus events in Birmingham.<\/p>\n
It is not known whether Harry and his family will see Zara and Mike during his visit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
