The Invite<\/em> stars Seth Rogen and Olivia Wilde join Entertainment Weekly <\/em>for a round of “Live vs. Lie.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n In an effort to trick one another, the actors share crazy stories involving hot air balloons, Pharrell, and almost drowning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n At one point, Rogen says he was invited to join embattled rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs on a hot air balloon ride. But is he telling the truth?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Who needs lies when real life is naturally insane?<\/p>\n During the latest round of Entertainment Weekly<\/em>‘s “Lie vs. Lie,” Olivia Wilde<\/a> and Seth Rogen<\/a> proved that the truth is so much stranger than fiction when the game led them to share some hilarious real-life anecdotes.<\/p>\n At one point, Rogen was asked to tell his <\/a>The Invite<\/em><\/a> costar and director<\/a> about the “most surprising proposition” he’s ever received \u2014 and the answer was so insane that Wilde could barely contain her laughter.<\/p>\n “I’m glad I didn’t do this,” Rogen prefaced the story. “Many years ago, me and my wife were at The French Laundry, one of the fanciest restaurants in the world, and at the table beside us was\u2026 Puff Daddy.”<\/p>\n The mention of the now-disgraced rapper,\u00a0Sean “Diddy” Combs<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 who is currently\u00a0serving prison time for prostitution-related charges<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 earned a big reaction from Wilde, who paused, closed her eyes, and pressed her lips together to hold back laughter.<\/p>\n Rogen continued, “Puff Daddy came over to me and my wife and he said, ‘What are you guys doing tomorrow morning?’ And we said, ‘We’re here actually scouting wedding locations.’ And he said, ‘Well, if you have time, would you like to come hot air ballooning with me?'”<\/p>\n Rogen affirmed that the story is true, and much to his present relief, he declined the offer, noting, “The last thing I need in the world is a photo of me on a hot air balloon alone with Puff Daddy, waving and smiling and holding glasses of ros\u00e9.”<\/p>\n Elsewhere in the game, Wilde recounted a time she cooked for company, only for “the unexpected” to occur. In her case, it involved her dog jumping up on the table to eat her freshly-cooked Thanksgiving turkey.<\/p>\n Rogen immediately dinged the story as a lie, to which Wilde exclaimed, “This is true! It’s true\u2014 Paco stood on the table and ate the turkey.”<\/p>\n “It reeks a bit of ’90s kids movie,” Rogen defended.<\/p>\n The subject of strange propositions and dinner parties gone wrong is a fitting query, given the drama unfolding in\u00a0The Invite<\/em>, which stars Wilde and Rogen\u00a0as Angela and Joe, a couple whose marital issues are laid bare during a chaotic dinner with their upstairs neighbors.
