Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster<\/a> haven\u2019t even been together for that long, but there have been reports that the two are already thinking about taking their relationship to the next level. That\u2019s kinda the reality of dating as an adult. You just jump into it with both feet.<\/p>\n

And now, the two are even reportedly talking prenup. New Idea<\/a> is reporting that the pair got engaged during a holiday to Costa Rica early in 2026 and is now planning their wedding.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t a shock to Sutton<\/a> as it\u2019s something they\u2019ve been talking about,\u201d a source said. \u201cBut Hugh did get down on one knee, and she is in possession of a diamond solitaire she\u2019ll show off when they\u2019re ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two are reportedly working on a $200 million prenup. Jackman had reportedly rejected one\u2014he also never had one with ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness<\/a>\u2014but his financial team insisted.<\/p>\n

\u201cHugh was against a prenup initially, but his business team and his ex kicked off about it, with Sutton also wanting to protect her future should things go sideways,\u201d a source told\u00a0New Idea<\/a>. The agreement reportedly mostly protects Jackman\u2019s two children, Oscar and Ava, and Foster\u2019s nine-year-old daughter with her ex-husband Ted Griffin.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a $200m prenup, including a $50m \u2018no hard feelings\u2019 exit package, and it\u2019s mostly designed around protecting all three kids,\u201d the source said. \u201cIt\u2019s not comfortable discussions, but neither of them is willing to walk away \u2014 and Hugh genuinely believes the Sutton trolls will calm down once they\u2019re married.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackman<\/a> is reportedly in \u201cnew territory\u201d as he tries to navigate talking to his kids to get them \u201con board\u201d with his new marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven though Hugh is excited to start this next chapter with Sutton, he has to be sensitive to his kids,\u201d a source said. \u201cThey\u2019re incredibly protective of their mother . . . he wants to be respectful of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

This comes after Globe<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>reported that Jackman and Foster are currently at odds over where to live. Jackman is said to be \u201cpushing\u201d Foster to relocate to Australia with him, but she doesn\u2019t want to leave New York City.<\/p>\n

\u201cSutton\u2019s idea that they could just keep being this cozy little Broadway couple and work on their theatre projects indefinitely is proving to be a fantasy,\u201d a source explained. \u201cHugh is always going to be a citizen of the world and he\u2019s always going to need regular check-ins back in Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s reportedly not the only reason they\u2019re \u201cnot [in] a happy relationship at the moment.\u201d They have also reportedly don\u2019t see eye to eye on Jackman\u2019s \u201cgrand mid-career ambitions.\u201d Foster is reportedly \u201cfine with just being a Broadway star because that\u2019s been her dream since childhood,\u201d but Jackman has \u201cmuch bigger, more global plans\u201d for his future.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bottom line is, Hugh knows he needs a partner who can really keep up with him and his schedule, without friction, the way his ex Deb was able to do for so many years,\u201d but \u201cSutton still has a lot of commitments that keep her from doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
