{"id":2482395,"date":"2026-06-30T19:15:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T19:15:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2482395"},"modified":"2026-06-30T19:15:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T19:15:53","slug":"fat-dog-announce-new-album-cancel-me-im-tired-and-share-propulsive-title-track","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/fat-dog-announce-new-album-cancel-me-im-tired-and-share-propulsive-title-track\/","title":{"rendered":"Fat Dog announce new album &#8216;Cancel Me (I\u2019m Tired)&#8217; and share propulsive title track"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/fat-dog\">Fat Dog<\/a> have today (June 30) unveiled details of their new album, \u2018Cancel Me (I\u2019m Tired)\u2019 and have shared its propulsive new title track \u2013 check it out below.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"post-content-read-more\">\n<li><strong>READ MORE: <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/the-cover\/fat-dog-22-04-2024-3749161\">Fat Dog on the cover and unleashed in America<\/a><br \/><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The track is the latest from the former <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/the-cover\/fat-dog-22-04-2024-3749161\"><em>NME<\/em> Cover stars<\/a> and\u00a0follows on from last month\u2019s release, \u2018<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/fat-dog-come-back-swinging-with-80s-tinged-new-single-go-fuck-urself-3945013\">Go Fuck Urself<\/a>\u2018.<\/p>\n<p>The band followed up their 2024 debut album \u2018<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/album\/fat-dog-woof-review-radar-3788022\">WOOF.<\/a>\u2019 with last summer\u2019s rowdy standalone singles, \u2018<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/listen-to-fat-dog-brash-new-single-peace-song-3814753\">Peace Song<\/a>\u2018 and \u2018<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/check-out-fat-dogs-feral-new-single-pray-to-that-3881411\">Pray To That<\/a>\u2019 before getting to work on the new album, which arrives on October 2 and you can pre-order it <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fatdog.ffm.to\/cmit-store\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The new song is said to be inspired by <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/john-lennon\">John Lennon\u2019s<\/a> \u2018How Do You Sleep\u2019, \u201ccombined with frontman [and] songwriter Joe Love imagining what Anatolian rock experimentalists Alt\u0131n G\u00fcn would sound like if they were under siege from a thumping club beat,\u201d a statement explained.<\/p>\n<p>The track affirms at the start:<i>\u201cIf you wanna cancel me\/Then go ahead and do it please,\u201d <\/i>and is \u201cthe sound of what happens when people push your buttons and your buttons start pushing back,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>The video was shot by director James Winstanley and sees the band trying to avoid getting cancelled on a night out in London\u2019s Soho. I hear things from my friends who are in other groups, and there just seems to be constant animosity elsewhere,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe get these moments where everything lines up: sometimes, we all look at each other on stage, and quietly recognise that we\u2019re playing a really good gig.
