T<\/span>his came out in 2006 \u2014 or at least that\u2019s when I got it. Here\u2019s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):<\/h4>\n

On<\/span> the downside: It\u2019s a three-year-old live recording. It doesn\u2019t have Mr. Jones<\/em> or Round Here<\/em> on it. And well, it\u2019s Counting Crows<\/strong>, whose R.E.M.<\/strong>-meet-Van<\/strong>-meets-The Band<\/strong> sound hasn\u2019t exactly been taking the world by storm lately.<\/h4>\n

On the upside: It\u2019s slightly heavier and louder than you\u2019d expect \u2014 at times, Adam Duritz<\/strong> and co. almost rock out on this warm-sounding 15-song set. It has strong renditions of Rain King, Catapult, Miami<\/em> and cuts from 2002\u2019s Hard Candy<\/em>. And if you skip the video, you don\u2019t have to look at Duritz\u2019s white-boy dreads.<\/p>\n
