Jennifer Lopez<\/strong> opened up about her point of view on breakups. She believes that the split should be looked at as a way to become one\u2019s next best version. These remarks come a few years after she married Ben Affleck in 2022 and filed for divorce in 2024, with it being finalized the following year.<\/p>\n In a conversation on Kareem Rahma\u2019s internet talk show\u00a0Subway Takes<\/a>, Lopez said that she doesn\u2019t consider breakups a failure but rather a \u201claunchpad\u201d to become one\u2019s best self. She added, \u201cWe should have a party when we break up. People should say, \u2018You broke up? Congratulations.\u2019 Because one, you made a decision. Two, it was probably the best thing for everybody.\u201d She believes that the one who faces a breakup is actually a \u201cwinner\u201d compared to the ones who go around breaking hearts, whom she considers a \u201closer.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer-actress also believes that most learning comes after the heartbreak. \u201cI just feel like the biggest growth spurts I\u2019ve had emotionally, mentally, psychologically have always come from a heartbreak. And that\u2019s not just in romantic relationships; that\u2019s in work heartbreaks, all of it. It\u2019s the only time you dig,\u201d she elaborated. Lopez stated that heartbreaks give you the time to self-reflect and to bring changes to be better.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, Lopez broke the silence on her split with Affleck, citing<\/a> that she took a year off to deal with things rather than to run away from them.
