Naturally, many stars argued that Swift should choose one of her own songs. “Love Story,” “Lover” and “The Alchemy” all received votes, while one Speak Now<\/em> favorite quietly emerged as a sleeper hit. But as creator Anna Sitar pointed out, there’s one potential issue: A lot of Swift’s love songs were inspired by other relationships. Is dancing to one of them romantic \u2014 or just a little weird?<\/p>\nOthers used the opportunity to nominate themselves. Paula Abdul and New Kids on the Block pitched their own hits. Teddy Swims offered perhaps the most sincere suggestion of the bunch.
