Darrell Sheets<\/strong> <\/a>had some major plans prior to his death, according to fellow Storage Wars<\/em><\/a> stars Dan<\/strong> and Laura Dotson.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cJust before he passed away, I heard, he lost 40 pounds, and that he was wanting to get really healthy and in shape,\u201d Laura, 58, told Us Weekly<\/em> exclusively. \u201c[He] was preparing for his birthday party in May, and he had a huge big soiree planned.\u201d<\/p>\n

Laura said that Sheets\u2019 death was \u201cjust out of the blue\u201d because of his future plans.<\/p>\n

Sheets, who was a fixture on Storage Wars<\/em> for 13 years, died by suicide this past April<\/a>. He was 67.<\/p>\n

The late reality star was remembered during a celebration of life ceremony<\/a> in Huntington Beach on Monday, June 29.<\/p>\n

Dan, 63, told Us<\/em> that \u201ca lot of the cast members were there\u201d \u2014 both \u201cold and new\u201d \u2014 to celebrate Sheets. People from the A&E production team were also in attendance.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople got up and they got to share their stories,\u201d Laura added. There were also 67 doves released during the event, which she said was \u201cpretty spectacular.\u201d The number of birds was a symbol of how old Sheets was when he died.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey did a wonderful slide show for him, showing him from a child to an adult and just celebrating his life,\u201d Laura said, noting that there was a donut bar to pay homage to his \u201cfavorite thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Attendees also wore casual clothes to honor Sheets.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people showed up in their tank tops, and they said, \u2018You know, Darrell wore tank tops, so if you love Darrell, just dress comfortably like he always did.\u2019 I even had my tank top on, but I had a blouse over the top,\u201d Laura recalled. \u201cPeople were showing their tank tops and doing Darrell and yelling out \u2018The wow factor\u2019 and stuff like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDarrell Sheets\u2019 son, Brandon Sheets, paid tribute to his father in an emotional celebration of life speech. \u201cHe was like a pillar. [He was] stellar, he was strong. He reminds me of his father so much,\u201d Darrell\u2019s Storage Wars costar Laura Dotson exclusively told Us Weekly of Brandon\u2019s presence at the memorial service held at [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

There was also a photo booth and an album where attendees could share \u201clife stories\u201d and \u201cwonderful\u201d messages for Sheets.<\/p>\n
