It\u2019s been about a year since Limp Bizkit dropped new music<\/a>, but fans might not have to wait too long for more. In a new interview with\u00a0Gear4Music<\/a><\/em>, the band\u2019s guitarist, Wes Borland, shared that they have some \u201cammo\u201d and are working toward recording.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re planning on going in [to the studio],\u201d Borland shared, per Metal Injection<\/a>. \u201cI think we have some time in August that we\u2019re planning on going in and writing. We\u2019ve had writing sessions, and there are parts [that we may end up using in some of the new songs].\u201d<\/p>\n Borland continued, \u201cFred [Durst] and I were just listening to some riffs and some other sessions that we had from a writing session last year, and we were, like, \u2018Oh, I forgot about that. I forgot about that.\u2019 And so we\u2019ve got some ammo<\/a> to go in.\u201d<\/p>\n Later, Borland offered some insight into how the band\u2019s songcrafting has functioned for previous albums. \u201cUsually, in the past, when we\u2019ve made a record<\/a>, I go do lots of riff writing and then bring it in, and then we start building songs off of that. Or Fred will work on song ideas at home, and then we\u2019ll build off of that. And then sometimes we just start improvising. Or he\u2019ll go, \u2018Write the best thing you\u2019ve ever written right now, on the spot.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut some of that stuff happens,\u201d Borland added. \u201d I mean, I think \u2018Break Stuff\u2019 happened that way.\u201d<\/p>\n Finally, Borland weighed in on Limp Bizkit\u2019s rise to fame and subsequent longevity. \u201cWe\u2019re the biggest we\u2019ve ever been right now, it\u2019s crazy,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m not saying that in a cocky way. I\u2019m saying that we can\u2019t believe it. We\u2019re so lucky. I don\u2019t know exactly how it happened. We get along so well now, and we\u2019re adults, and we\u2019re having fun doing it, and I think that translates to the audience.\u201d<\/p>\nLimp Bizkit\u2019s last new song was the aptly titled \u2018Making Love to Morgan Wallen\u2019<\/h2>\n
