Celebrations for the Fourth of July are on tap in both Madison and Gluckstadt for the upcoming holiday weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n MADISON<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Strawberry Patch Park will be the site of the city\u2019s Fourth of July and America’s 250 Birthday Celebration. <\/span><\/p>\n The public is invited to enjoy live music, picnic favorites, old-fashioned games, historical characters, petting zoo, and the beauty of the park on July 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n Located at 271 St. Augustine Drive, the seven-acre neighborhood park includes a one-acre lake, a one-mile lighted walking trail, Universal playground equipment, picnic tables and benches throughout the park, a Chapel, Madison Children\u2019s Memorial Garden, Veterans Memorial Garden, and restrooms. <\/span><\/p>\n Parking for the event is available on the Madison-Ridgeland Academy campus and in the MRA parking lot on Old Canton Road.<\/span><\/p>\n Madison the City in conjunction with the Madison the City Business Network is holding a decoration event where businesses are encouraged to decorate for the Fourth of July.<\/span><\/p>\n The idea was brought to the Advisory Council by member Mark Doiron who said, “Since our 250th is upcoming, we need to explode our city with patriotism!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Council agreed to use social media and email to challenge Madison businesses to decorate. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As each business sends in photos of their decorations, the Business Network is sharing them on our various social media channels.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n GLUCKSTADT<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The Gluckstadt Rotary Club is hosting their second annual Fourth Fest event.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cLast year\u2019s turnout was amazing, and we\u2019re beyond excited to make this year even bigger and better, more vendors, more fun, and more local love,\u201d rotary club officials said.<\/span><\/p>\n The event is scheduled for July 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the open space between the Gluckstadt Police Department and Municipal Court Building and the Calhoun Station Parkway.<\/span><\/p>\n The event will include live music, food trucks, inflatables, a kids section, car show and swag bags.<\/span><\/p>\n Both Canton and Ridgeland held their annual celebration last weekend with the Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Festival in Canton and the annual Celebrate America Balloon Glow.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u2018 The preceding article may include information circulated by third parties \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n \u2018 Some details of this article were extracted from the following source www.onlinemadison.com \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Celebrations for the Fourth of July are on tap in both Madison and Gluckstadt for the upcoming holiday weekend.
