Taylor Frankie Paul<\/strong><\/a> is trying to get back to neutral after ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen<\/strong><\/a> called 911 alleging she violated their protection order<\/a> amid their contentious custody battle.<\/p>\n

A source close to Taylor, 32, exclusively tells Us Weekly<\/em> that they believe Dakota, 33, is allegedly \u201c using and abusing the system to inflict the most pain and create inaccurate harmful narratives.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider claims that they think Dakota\u2019s recent actions are \u201cseemingly to prevent a show from going on the air \u2014 which is in direct contrast to Taylor \u2014 whose priority is her family and her own well-being,\u201d referring to Taylor\u2019s unaired season of The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne side is trying to inflict pain, the other side is trying to manage and avoid pain,\u201d the source further claims.<\/p>\n

When it comes to the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em><\/a> star\u2019s well-being, the insider tells Us<\/em>, it\u2019s been \u201cincredibly painful<\/a>\u201d for her to \u201cwatch someone deliberately create sideshows without any regard for the human consequences simply because they don\u2019t want a show to be on the air.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source also alleges that since Taylor\u2019s domestic violence incident involving Dakota made headlines in March, they think there\u2019s been \u201ca never-ending campaign of intimidation and misrepresentation with the only purpose to inflict as much pain as possible on Taylor.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> reached out to Mortensen\u2019s attorney, who declined to comment.<\/p>\n

Taylor and Dakota, who share 2-year-old son Ever<\/a>, raised eyebrows in March when reports surfaced that there had been an alleged domestic violence altercation between the pair one month prior.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDakota Mortensen shared his side of the story with officers via a phone call after his 2023 domestic dispute with Taylor Frankie Paul. In a video obtained by Us Weekly, an officer asked whether he was trying to \u201cprotect\u201d Taylor\u2019s daughter, to which Dakota replied, \u201cYeah, she\u2019s on the couch right there.\u201d Dakota went on [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to court documents obtained by TMZ<\/em>, Dakota alleged that Taylor choked him and shoved him into a window. He also claimed that he feared for their child\u2019s safety.<\/p>\n

Taylor has vehemently denied the allegations of child abuse. Dakota was granted a temporary restraining order against Taylor and temporary custody of their son in March.<\/p>\n

Amid her personal drama, ABC chose to cancel her season of The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a>, which was set to premiere in late March.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette<\/em> at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,\u201d a Disney Entertainment Television spokesperson told Us<\/em> in a statement at the time, referring to a video from a separate 2023 domestic violence incident that resurfaced online. (Taylor pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in 2023<\/a> and the other counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury and criminal mischief were dropped.)<\/p>\n

Taylor\u2019s issues with Dakota, however, didn\u2019t end with the TV show being pulled from the airwaves.<\/p>\n

After an April hearing, Taylor was granted her own protection order against Dakota after claiming he assaulted her in his truck during their February altercation. Dakota has denied the allegation.<\/p>\n

The judge ruled that both Taylor and Dakota have to stay at least 100 feet away from each other and allowed Taylor to have supervised visitation with Ever<\/a>. Taylor was granted unsupervised visitation rights<\/a> with her son in early June.<\/p>\n

An unidentified person called the emergency services over an alleged \u201cdomestic violence\u201d dispute at Taylor, now 31, and Dakota\u2019s home in Utah. \u201cSomebody is screaming like \u2018Get off me.\u2019 There is a woman [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Later that month, however, Dakota called the cops inquiring about his and Taylor\u2019s protection orders as they relate to Ever.<\/p>\n

The Bluffdale Police Department confirmed to Us<\/em> on Monday, June 29, that Dakota called the authorities at around 10 p.m. on Friday, June 26.<\/p>\n

The police told Us<\/em> that Dakota called with questions about the protective order, specifically asking about who can help with the drop-off and pick-up exchange for Ever. He wanted to know if the protective order had been violated.<\/p>\n

The officers then made contact with Taylor via a phone call and gathered statements from all involved before sending the case to the District Attorney\u2019s office, who will decide if a violation occurred.<\/p>\n
