A friend of the late Princess Diana has shared a scathing criticism of Prince Harry after he attempted to use his children as leverage to gain security while in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Reports that the Duke of Sussex, 41, along with his wife, Meghan Markle, 44, and his two children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, will be returning to the UK between July 6 and July 10 after living in the United States for four years<\/a> have been widespread.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, The Guardian shrouded the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s visit in doubt after it was revealed their security plans were \u201cpulled out from under their feet at the 11th hour\u201d earlier this week.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

According to the publication, Ravec’s decision to decline Harry’s request for police protection outside royal residences significantly impacted his hopes of bringing his young kids to Britain.<\/p>\n

A well-placed source told The Guardian that Harry was avidly against subjecting Archie and Lilibet to being \u201cchased by paparazzi wherever they go from the moment they step off the plane\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir plans to see family, friends and visit various charitable causes close to the duke\u2019s heart have been pulled out from under their feet at the 11th hour.”<\/p>\n

They added: “He\u2019s looking at every option to try and get the family here safely and keep them safe when they\u2019re on the ground. If he can find a way to do that, he will.”<\/p>\n

Now, a journalist and friend of the late Princess Diana has accused Harry and Meghan of using their kids to “force Ravec’s hand” when it came to their UK security, a move she has dubbed as “hopelessly misguided”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“If Harry thought that bringing his children would force Ravec\u2019s hand, he was, as he is so often, hopelessly misguided,” Tina Brown wrote on her Fresh Hell Substack.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She further claimed that the Palace was in “a crouch position about increased scrutiny of royal finances” in the wake of disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s scandals.<\/p>\n

“As if he has learned nothing in the last six years of battling with Ravec, Harry went off like an IED when, once again, he was denied official police protection for the family and, as a source close to him briefed, the rug ‘was pulled out from under their feet at the 11th hour’.”<\/p>\n

Brown questioned: “What rug? The only rug under the Sussexes is a flying carpet on which they circle the globe in a cloud of persistent delusion.”<\/p>\n

The writer went on to reveal what she feels is the most “baffling thing” about the Sussexes, pointing out their “repeated tendency to make premature announcements” before the facts have been confirmed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Indeed, all their troubles of the past six years have stemmed from magical thinking that what they want will become instant reality, starting with Megxit itself.”<\/p>\n

News.com.au first reported the Sussexes’ UK return in June,<\/a> with a source close to Harry revealing he has felt “great sadness” that safety concerns have prevented his wife and children from travelling to the United Kingdom with him in the past.\u00a0<\/p>\n
