In the midst of the on-off-on-off-and-on-again war against Iran, historically low poll numbers, high gas prices, a housing affordability crisis and a potential midterm bloodbath in the fall, President Trump apparently has plenty of time for late-night chats with Kid Rock<\/a>.<\/p>\n The MAGA faithful singer born Robert James Ritchie, 55, bragged in a recent interview with Sky News Australia<\/a><\/em> that not only does he frequently dial up the leader of the free world after he\u2019s had a couple drinks, but that Trump \u201calways\u201d picks up when he sees Rock\u2019s number.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Rock, who has visited the White House<\/a>, sat with Trump at football games, taken joy rides on Army helicopters<\/a> thanks to Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth and repeatedly pledged his affection for the former reality TV star, said his relationship with the president is \u201cf\u2013king awesome.\u201d In fact, asked if Trump ever \u201crandomly\u201d texts him, Rock said he does, adding, \u201cit\u2019s one of my late-night drinking tricks because I know when to get him. He\u2019s so gracious, he always picks up or he\u2019ll call and check in just to shoot the s\u2013t.\u201d<\/p>\n And while Rock admitted that Trump doesn\u2019t call him for political advice on say, whether he should bomb Iran, \u201cif I\u2019m sitting around having some beers if it\u2019s like, 11, 12 on a Friday or Saturday, I know he\u2019s up. He sleeps like me, he sleeps five hours.\u201d<\/p>\n The rapper-turned-rocker-turned-country crooner told reporter Paul Murray that he enjoys \u201cthe hell out of hanging\u201d with Trump and their boozy late night chats \u2014\u00a0one-sided imbibing, seemingly, since Trump famously does not partake \u2014\u00a0admitting that there\u2019s no beating the honor of having \u201ca front-row seat to the greatest s\u2013t show on earth.\u201d<\/p>\n And, amid new financial disclosure reports that Trump and his family have profited to the tune of nearly $2 billion<\/a> during his first year back in the White House, Rock brushed off concerns that the nation\u2019s leader has blown past traditional conflict-of-interest barriers in boosting crypto while also helping to set regulations on the digital currency.<\/p>\n Reacting to those complaining that former real estate mogul Trump is, unlike previous presidents, \u201cmaking so much money\u201d while in office, Rock responded, \u201cNo s\u2013t, \u2019cause he\u2019s a f\u2013king businessman, he\u2019s smart.
