The Five Star Weekend, starring Jennifer Garner, is based on Elin Hilderbrand’s novel of the same name and follows a food blogger named Hollis Shaw who invites her friends down for a weekend in Nantucket following a traumatic loss.<\/p>\n

Hilderbrand is the writer behind the novel The Perfect Couple, which was made into the gripping 2024 series on Netflix starring Nicole Kidman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She suffers a devastating loss at the start of the series when her husband dies, which blows open the cracks of her life, making her realize the complicated relationship she has with her daughter and how she actually feels about her growing internet following.<\/p>\n

In order to gain some control over her spiraling life, Hollis decides to invite three friends from various stages in her life and one surprise guest to a weekend away in her beach house in Nantucket. As the weekend progresses the women get to know each other more, share their secrets and old romances rise to the surface.<\/p>\n

The Five Star Weekend is led by Jennifer Garner as food blogger Hollis. Playing Hollis’ friends are Chlo\u00eb Sevigny as Tatum McKenzie, Regina Hall as Dru-Ann Jones, Gemma Chan as Gigi Ling, and D’Arcy Carden as Brooke Kirtley.<\/p>\n

Harlow Jane plays Hollis’ daughter Caroline and rounding out the main cast is Timothy Olyphant who plays Jack, who was Hollis’ first boyfriend as a teenager.<\/p>\n
