Nonpoint<\/strong> have confirmed a September 18th release date for their eleventh studio album \u201cThe Last Word<\/strong>\u201c. The veteran n\u00fc-metal\/alternative metal band took the opportunity to pair today\u2019s (July 02nd) announcement of that record with the debut of a music video for the record\u2019s lead single, \u201cIs It<\/strong>\u201c. Drew Johnston<\/strong> served a the director for that clip. Nonpoint<\/strong> will be issuing that new opus through their own 361 Degrees Records<\/strong> label.<\/p>\n Vocalist Elias Soriano<\/strong> said of it:<\/p>\n \u201cIn a world that sometimes wants to put a timestamp on creativity, \u2018The Last Word<\/strong>\u2018 is our way of saying we\u2019re just getting started. We\u2019re pushing back against expectation and pushing forward into our own next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n He also went on to add the following of the album\u2019s accompanying cover art:<\/p>\n \u201cThis album cover tells a piece of our story. After years of making music, we feel more aligned than ever \u2014 musically, visually, and creatively. We\u2019re writing some of the strongest material of our career, our live shows are as powerful as they\u2019ve ever been, and the band feels focused and energized. The pencil on the cover represents what it\u2019s like to be handed one last tool and expected to fit everything you have left to say into it. Not because the ideas are gone, but because longevity often comes with assumptions and limits. \u2018The Last Word<\/strong>\u2018 isn\u2019t about accepting an ending. It\u2019s about challenging that narrative. If this is the pencil we\u2019re being handed, we\u2019re going to use it \u2014 and make sure the words written with it still matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n As for his thoughts on \u201cIs It<\/strong>\u201c, he offered:<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Is It<\/strong>\u2018 is that internal conflict where you question getting too involved? Did I push too hard? Did I ask too much?
