Online<\/a><\/p>\n James Barker<\/strong>\u2019s loved ones are sharing more about his death.<\/span><\/p>\n After the <\/span>Love Island USA<\/span><\/a> producer\u2019s <\/span>suffered a fatal medical emergency on location<\/span> in Fiji<\/span> on June 12,<\/span> his family gave further insight into the tragic situation.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOur bright light, James Barker, died from an unpreventable and tragic sudden death on June 12th, 2026,\u201d they wrote in a GoFundMe statement. \u201cLike everyone who loved him, we\u2019re still struggling to comprehend a world without him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThere was no time to prepare for this,\u201d the message continued, \u201cand in the wake of his death, his loved ones are now navigating both profound grief and immediate financial responsibilities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The fundraiser asked for donations to help Barker\u2019s loved ones, including longtime partner <\/span>Adam<\/strong> Roth<\/strong>, noting that the reality TV producer was an incredibly thoughtful and generous person himself who \u201cgave everything he had to artists from all art forms.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n While the nature of what caused the <\/span>40-year-old\u2019s<\/span> death has not been shared, ITV America and Peacock initially <\/span>confirmed his passing in a June 15 statement<\/span><\/a>, saying he experienced an \u201cunexpected medical emergency\u201d while filming in Fiji.<\/span><\/p>\n More from E!
