Former NBA player Tristan Thompson is trying to mend the fractured relationship between Drake<\/a> and LeBron James<\/a>.<\/p>\n During a recent sitdown on Shannon Sharpe\u2019s Club Shay Shay, James\u2019 former teammate was asked about his relationship with fellow Canadian Drake, and if think he can end the tension between the two former friends.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cDrake\u2019s my brother,\u201d he said before saying they\u2019ve known each other for years. \u201cI\u2019ve known him since I\u2019ve been 17. That\u2019s family. Always gonna ride with him. Like you said, he was there when my mom passed away. We have a relationship. I spoke to him during last week, as well. We\u2019re close. I mean, the beauty about all of us Canadians\u2026 you know, we all root for each other. For myself, I\u2019m close with Drake, but I\u2019m also close with The Weeknd<\/a>. I love The Weeknd, that\u2019s my brother, as well. PARTYNEXTDOOR<\/a>, love him, as well. That\u2019s all family.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cFor us from Toronto, we look at [it] as \u2018Toronto vs. the World.\u201d We\u2019re called the Screwface Capital. We come with a chip on our shoulders. Obviously, Drake has led the way in the entertainment and music industry, doing his thing. Hip-hop needed him. You see when he dropped three albums<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n However, when Sharpe suggested that it might take him to bring Drake and LeBron back together again, Thompson sighed with a smile and said that he\u2019s been working on it.<\/p>\n \u201cI would love to,\u201d the NBA champion replied. \u201cListen, yeah. Listen. I\u2019m trying, man.
