Here\u2019s to the next occasion!”<\/p>\n Premiering on Fox in 2003, creator Josh Schwartz’s The O.C.<\/em> centered on Ryan Atwood (Ben McKenzie), a troubled teen from the wrong side of the tracks whose life is transformed when he’s taken home by his public defender (Gallagher). The idealistic lawyer is based in Newport Beach with his wealthy wife (Rowan) and their adorably nerdy son, Seth (Adam Brody).<\/p>\n Though initially skeptical of welcoming Ryan in, but Kirsten quickly becomes a protective mother to him. Due to his father’s history as “a poor struggling Jew growing up in the Bronx,” and his mother being a “Waspy McWasp,” Seth combined Christmas and Hanukkah by “drawing on the best that Christianity and Judaism have to offer.”<\/p>\n Chrismukkah became an O.C<\/em>. staple<\/a>, and the “super-holiday” has continued to spread over the years.<\/p>\n After four seasons, The O.C.<\/em> wrapped in 2007, but the stars are keeping its legacy alive. McKenzie previously revealed that he started rewatching the show with his 7-year-old daughter.<\/p>\n “Bad idea, bad idea,” he admitted<\/a>. “She of course loves it, like absolutely loves it. I had to cut it off after two episodes because I was like, ‘Oh my god I forgot about the smoking.’ I remembered the drinking.
