Alan Jackson officially retired from touring and playing full shows on Saturday, June 27th in a massive, blowout show at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. And with the way a appreciative, but exhausted Jackson had to hold onto someone\u2019s shoulder to make it off the stage at the end of the set as fireworks went off, you tend to take his word that it truly was the finale. He might still make one-off appearances. But due to the neurological disorder CMT, his days of long haul touring and 24-song concerts are probably in the sunset. <\/p>

But even as Alan Jackson announces his final tour and final concert, he assured us he wasn\u2019t done with music entirely, including releasing new songs or albums. In fact, right before the grand finale, Jackson released a cover of \u201cStill The One\u201d<\/a><\/strong> originally recorded by Orleans. And it turns out that we won\u2019t have to wait too long for a new album from Alan Jackson at all. <\/p>

Announced in the wake of his final concert, a live album called Last Call: One More for the Road \u2013 The Finale (Live from Nashville, TN)<\/em> of the final concert will be released. Pre-orders are already live, and though it\u2019s subject to change, the release date given right now is December 31st, 2026. Though we don\u2019t have a track list just yet, hopefully it include most or all of the performances from the final show. You can see a complete set list from the show below. <\/p>\n\n\n

Alan Jackson\u2019s final concert was witnessed by an estimated 80,000 people when you consider the audience in the stadium, as well as the various watch parties in Nashville, from Belmont University, to the Country Music Hall of Fame, to the massive block party on Lower Broadway. The concert also raised $2.25 million for medical research into CMT. <\/p>

The live album comes as NBC is prepping a television special recorded during the concert that will also air sometime later this year, and then be available for streaming on Peacock afterwards. As TV specials go though, don\u2019t expect every moment to make it into the presentation. Hopefully, all the songs do make it onto the live album. <\/p>

Alan Jackson has also been announced as a performer for the PBS \u201cA Capitol Fourth\u201d airing on Friday, July 3rd at 8 PM\/ 7 Central, as well as streaming on YouTube. However, similar to his Memorial Day performance, Jackson\u2019s portion will be pre-recorded from a performance at the Ryman Auditorium. <\/p>

Will we get another proper studio album from Alan Jackson in the future? There\u2019s probably a good bet. But so far, there\u2019s not word on one. <\/p>
