After months of rumors, Blake Lively<\/a> confirmed she wasn\u2019t invited to Taylor Swift\u2019s wedding<\/a> to Travis Kelce<\/a> when she was hundreds of miles away the weekend of her nuptials. <\/p>\n

In photos obtained by TMZ<\/a>, Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, were photographed with her daughter, Betty (who inspired the title of the song with the same name from Taylor\u2019s 2020 album Folklore<\/em>), at Lake Placid, New York, the weekend Taylor<\/a> and Travis got married at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Blake and Ryan were seen cheering on Betty at a horse show on July 2 on a local farm in Lake Placid, where their daughter took second place. <\/p>\n

While Blake allegedly had hopes of being invited to Taylor\u2019s wedding<\/a> on July 3, she wasn\u2019t among the dozens of celebrities photographed attending Taylor and Travis\u2019 nuptials at MSG. Blake\u2019s snub also seemingly debunked The Daily Mail\u2019<\/a>s report on June 19 that Taylor extended an \u201colive branch\u201d to Blake weeks before her wedding with a reconciliation phone call. The two, who had been friends for years, allegedly had a falling out in 2025 after Taylor was involved in Blake\u2019s public lawsuit against her It Ends With Us<\/em> director, Justin Baldoni, due to an alleged informal meeting involving the three of them and Ryan over Blake\u2019s involvement in the project. The lawsuit was settled earlier in 2026, with neither party earning any money. <\/p>\n

Taylor was not happy about being dragged into the lawsuit but was more receptive to speaking to Blake as the suit came to a close,\u201d the insider said. \u201cBlake was ready to resume their friendship because it really was what caused its demise.\u201d The source continued, \u201cEveryone around Taylor is aware that Blake<\/a> could attend. She may not, but that won\u2019t be because she isn\u2019t welcome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another source claimed that Taylor was having a \u201cchange of heart\u201d in the lead-up to her wedding. \u201cBlake is on the cusp of getting a second chance, and they have had some loose conversations to test the waters to get the trust back. Blake is slowly getting back into the fold now that Taylor is having a change of heart,\u201d the insider said. <\/p>\n

The source also added that Blake did not \u201cwant to be seen as not going to the wedding\u2019 because \u201cher image is very important to her.\u201d The insider also claimed that Taylor and Blake \u201cnever fully stopped being friends.\u201d A source for Extra<\/a> later denied The Daily Mail\u2019s report that a reconciliation phone call was made between the two. <\/p>\n

A source also told Rob Shuter\u2019s \u201cNaughty But Nice\u201d Substack<\/a> in May that Blake had a dress picked out for Taylor\u2019s wedding in case a last-minute invitation came. \u201cBlake genuinely believes there\u2019s still a path back,\u201d the insider said. \u201cNow that the legal mess is over, she thinks the hardest part is behind her and there\u2019s real hope they can move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source continued, \u201cJust like she had her Met Gala dress ready, she already has a dress picked out for Taylor\u2019s wedding. That\u2019s how convinced she was \u2014 and still is \u2014 that this friendship can be saved.\u201d<\/p>\n

The insider also claimed that Blake still had hopes she and Taylor could heal from their drama. \u201cShe knows not everything snaps back overnight,\u201d the insider said. \u201cBut Blake believes removing the chaos changes everything. She thinks once the noise is gone, there\u2019s room for real healing.\u201d<\/p>\n
