Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> rang the alarm on the Fourth of July with the release of her first new song in two years.<\/p>\n The superstar musician dropped \u201cMorning Dew (Donk),\u201d which she wrote with Pharrell Williams, The-Dream and Darius Dixon and produced with Williams, on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n The track, set to be included on the 20th anniversary edition of her sophomore album B\u2019Day<\/em>, starts a 60-day countdown to that reissue and her next birthday on Sept. 4.<\/p>\n B\u2019Day<\/em> was first released on Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s 25th birthday, Sept. 4, 2006. It was her second No. 1 album, which sold more than 541,000 copies in its first week of release and includes hits like \u201cIrreplaceable\u201d and \u201cRing the Alarm.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMorning Dew\u201d was released with a black-and-white lyric video featuring old footage directed by Cliff Watts, who shot Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit<\/em> cover in 2007.<\/p>\n The track is a \u201cspecial gift to her fans,\u201d and \u201cis a direct nod to her loyal BeyHive,\u201d a release from Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s Parkwood Entertainment says.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cMorning Dew\u201d is Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s first new song since she released her Cowboy Carter<\/a><\/em> country album in March 2024, which earned Beyonc\u00e9 her first, long-awaited album of the year Grammy<\/a>. Prior to her win, she was the most nominated female artist without a win in the category despite being the most-awarded artist in Grammy history.<\/a><\/p>\n The new song comes as fans have been eagerly awaiting new music and news around a much rumored Act III album, that would complete the three-act project that began with Renaissance<\/em> and continued with Cowboy Carter<\/em>.<\/p>\n Watch the Morning Dew<\/em> lyric video below.<\/p>\n \n
