The Royal Household is recruiting its first dedicated
\nvideographer as it looks to expand the Royal Family\u2019s digital
\npresence across social media platforms, marking a significant step
\nin the evolution of royal communications.<\/p>\n
The newly-created permanent position, based at Buckingham Palace
\nwithin the Private Secretary\u2019s Office, will see the successful
\ncandidate produce video and photographic content for the Royal
\nFamily\u2019s official social media channels, including Instagram, X and
\nYouTube.<\/p>\n
With millions of followers across its digital platforms, the
\nRoyal Household has increasingly embraced social media to share
\nengagements, state occasions and behind-the-scenes moments with
\naudiences around the world. The creation of a dedicated
\nvideographer role is the first time such a specialist position has
\nbeen advertised by the Royal Household.<\/p>\n
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning,
\nfilming, editing and publishing content from royal visits, major
\nceremonial events and official initiatives across the UK and,
\noccasionally, overseas.<\/p>\n
The job advert says the role will take a \u201csocial-first approach
\nto storytelling\u201d, creating content designed specifically for
\ndigital audiences while ensuring it remains \u201cengaging, creative and
\nimpactful\u201d.<\/p>\n
As well as covering high-profile engagements, the videographer
\nwill be expected to develop innovative content ideas, identify
\nstories from across the Royal Household, train colleagues in
\ncontent creation and help shape future investment in filming
\nequipment.<\/p>\n
Applicants are expected to have extensive experience creating
\nsocial media content, with strong skills in professional camera
\noperation, lighting and audio, alongside expertise in Adobe
\nPremiere Pro and After Effects.<\/p>\n
The Royal Household is offering a starting salary of \u00a352,000 a
\nyear for the full-time permanent position, based at Buckingham
\nPalace. The successful candidate will also receive benefits
\nincluding a non-contributory pension with a 15% employer
\ncontribution, complimentary lunches, staff discounts and free
\nadmission to Royal Collection Trust sites.<\/p>\n
