Travis Scott<\/a> has set the record straight on why he often smashes equipment during live performances.<\/p>\n In a new cover story for L’OFFICIEL USA<\/a>, the rapper, who stars in upcoming adventure epic The Odyssey<\/a>, spoke about his reputation for smashing laptops. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s crazy because people see me out sometimes and they be like, Yo, this dude is wild,\u201d Scott told L\u2019OFFICIEL. \u201cBut I\u2019m at home self-preserving. When I do go outside, I like to have a good time. I love to dance.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOn stage is not different from when I\u2019m actually outside, listening to music or in a club,\u201d he continued. \u201cPeople think I want to break laptops. No, no, no. I get caught up in the mix sometimes. Who doesn\u2019t break a drink here or there?\u201d<\/p>\n The UTOPIA<\/a> artist added that he spends a bulk of his time working and being at home with his children, Stormi<\/a>, 8, and Aire<\/a>, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Kylie Jenner<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s peaceful for me. I sit; I cook. Then when I do pop out, I let the energy flow. It\u2019s weird for people to just go outside and stare. I\u2019ve never been that person,\u201d Scott explained.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, the Houston native told Rolling Stone<\/a> that when he becomes filled with \u201cpure energy,\u201d the adrenaline rush can force into him breaking laptops impromptu<\/a>.
