\n\tMcCartney, like Stevie Nicks<\/a>, was among the A-list performers at the couple\u2019s wedding, and People<\/em> reports<\/a> that McCartney used the special occasion to play a song he hadn\u2019t performed live since the Beatles\u2019 early days, and a hit he never touched live as a solo artist.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAfter the ceremony, Taylor\u2019s mom Andrea invited everyone into the reception room where the stage was set up,\u201d a source told People<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to setlist.fm<\/a>, the last time McCartney performed \u201cI Want to Hold Your Hand\u201d live was on September 20, 1964 at the Beatles\u2019 concert at New York\u2019s Paramount Theatre. The track remained unplayed by him for 62 years, until the Swift wedding.<\/p>\n

\n\tMcCartney and Swift, who appeared together on the cover of Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2019s Musicians on Musicians issue in 2020<\/a>, have long praised each other\u2019s work, with McCartney saying the weeks leading up to the wedding that Swift\u2019s fame rivals that of the Beatles\u2019.<\/p>\n
