Prince Harry didn\u2019t give his father enough notice to stay at
\nBuckingham Palace and so he\u2019ll have to find other accommodation
\nwhile in the UK.<\/p>\n
On the day Harry is set to arrive in England, July 6, it was
\nreported that he had been barred from staying at the Palace.
\nInitial reports didn\u2019t go into reasons, they merely stated that the
\nprince could no longer take up residence at the palace.<\/p>\n
Further investigation showed just why Harry is staying
\nelsewhere. On July 4, it is understood he formally declined the
\noffer of a room at the palace during his UK trip. For over a week,
\nit was reported that he and his family would stay at a royal
\nresidence during their time in the UK. However, after revealing at
\nthe weekend that only the Duke of Sussex would be coming to the
\ncapital, it appears Buckingham Palace was told that he wouldn\u2019t
\ntake up the offer of accommodation there.<\/p>\n
It now appears that Prince Harry changed his mind late on July 4
\nand asked for a room at the palace. He was subsequently told that
\nthe communication was too late and the rooms were no longer
\navailable.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s been reported that this is because it was too late notice
\nto staff his stay \u2013 decisions about who was working when had
\nalready been made and it was too late in the day to change
\nthem.<\/p>\n
Harry has already said that he doesn\u2019t want to bring the Duchess
\nof Sussex or their two children to London as he doesn\u2019t believe the
\nsecurity they will have is enough to keep them safe.<\/p>\n
He is currently seeking top level automatic protection for
\nhimself, Meghan, Archie and Lili while they are in the UK but has
\nbeen rejected several times.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not yet known whether the Duchess of Sussex and the
\ncouple\u2019s two children will join Harry during other pats of his time
\nin the UK.<\/p>\n
The Duke of Sussex is set to attend events marking one year to
\ngo until the Invictus Games \u2013 these will take place in Birmingham
\nand the reports that the family wouldn\u2019t travel to London have been
\nseen as an indication that they might yet spend some time in the
\nUK.<\/p>\n
