Richard Gere<\/a> and Alejandra Silva<\/a> shared a glimpse into their Fourth of July<\/a> celebration.<\/p>\n The couple and their youngest sons<\/a>, Alexander, 7, and James, 6, marked the occasion with a trip to the Statue of Liberty in New York City, a beach outing and a fireworks display, according to a joint Instagram<\/a> post on Saturday, July 4.<\/p>\n Reflecting on the holiday, Gere, 76, and Silva, 43, wrote in the caption, \u201cDeeply grateful for a life built between two countries, two cultures, and so many people we love.\u201d<\/p>\n Richard Gere and Alejandra Silva’s sons, Alexander and James. \u201cToday, we celebrate connection, family, friendship, and everything that reminds us that home is not only a place, but the people we carry in our hearts,\u201d the caption continued.<\/p>\n \u201cHappy Fourth of July to our family and friends across the United States,\u201d the couple concluded.<\/p>\n The carousel began with a snap of Gere, Silva, Alexander and James on a boat with Lady Liberty in the background.<\/p>\n Alexander and James wore white caps with red, white and blue life vests for the water outing, while the Maybe I Do<\/em><\/a> actor stayed cool in a long-sleeved gray top, gray pants and sunglasses. Silva, meanwhile, wore a beige ensemble with a white jacket and oversized sunnies.<\/p>\n The post also included snaps of the two boys on the beach near a picnic blanket, the Statue of Liberty and a video of fireworks at nighttime. At one point, The Agency<\/em><\/a> star stopped to take photos of their surroundings on his phone, continued to walk and then turned to face his wife.<\/p>\n \u201cSome paths are meant to be walked slowly. Not because of where they lead, but because of who you share them with,\u201d the caption read.<\/p>\n The actor and the Spanish activist got married in 2018<\/a>.
