Kate Middleton<\/a> returned to a familiar kids\u2019 hospital she has supported for almost a decade.<\/p>\nThe Princess of Wales, 44, stepped out at Evelina London Children\u2019s Hospital to see new developments in care for patients and support for families at the center. During her visit, she met the children\u2019s cancer specialists and heard about a planned collaboration with experts from the Royal Marsden<\/a> hospital, where Princess Kate underwent chemotherapy and other treatment for her cancer, and fellow London hospital St. George\u2019s. Kate, who has been patron of the children’s hospital since 2018, started her visit on July 6 in Edward ward, where she met children being treated on the new cardiac ward that brings together children\u2019s heart, lung and intensive care specialists onto a single site. She was also taken to Galaxy ward, a new outpatients unit within the Children\u2019s Day Treatment Centre which opened in May 2026 and provides face-to-face heart clinic appointments including diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, assessments and ongoing care for children and young people with a cardiac condition.<\/p>\n

That will provide essential additional scanners, beds and operating theaters alongside state-of-the-art technology.<\/p>\n
