Future Palace<\/strong> have unveiled the official music video for \u201cTidal Waves,\u201d<\/strong> the latest single from the German alternative metal outfit\u2019s upcoming fourth studio album, Resurgence<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n The emotionally charged track arrives ahead of the album\u2019s July 31<\/strong> release via Century Media Records<\/strong> and showcases a softer, more introspective side of the band while still building toward the explosive sound fans have come to expect.<\/p>\n Vocalist Maria Lessing<\/strong> revealed that \u201cTidal Waves\u201d<\/strong> is the most personal song she has ever written, explaining that it centers on the unconditional love she shares with her younger sister.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is probably the most important song I have ever written. It was extremely hard for me to write and I have failed to write a good song about this very important topic over and over again these past years. To sum it up: This song is about true love and how it feels. It can be very hard to recognize true love, but I personally found it in the role of being a big sister. Being someone who protects, cares, and always finds the time and patience to be there.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n I tried, and still try, my best to keep my younger sister from the pain that I had to go through. Even though we already went through a lot of pain together in our lives, it made our bond only stronger. I feel like no one will ever truly understand you like a close sibling does.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Guitarist Manuel Kolhert<\/strong> explained that the song began after drummer Johannes Fr\u00fcchtenicht<\/strong> challenged the band to write a ballad, ultimately resulting in one of the album\u2019s most dynamic tracks.<\/p>\n \u201cThis one started with a request by Johannes Fr\u00fcchtenicht when he said he wanted a certain kind of ballad. Challenge accepted. The instrumental was actually very easy to write and came naturally. Compared to the rest of the album this track is by far the softest, yet it builds up to a big, still heavy chorus followed by a dreamy acoustic bridge.
