The three-time Emmy winner will also serve as an executive producer on the thriller, which has Supergirl<\/em>\u2018s<\/a> Craig Gillespie attached to direct.<\/p>\n

Garner\u2019s recent credits include You Can\u2019t Win<\/em>, Weapons<\/em><\/a>, The Fantastic Four: First Steps<\/em><\/a>, Wolf Man<\/em><\/a>, and Apartment 7A<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBased on the book Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida<\/em>, the series delves into the psyche of a torrid romance and subsequent act of murder between two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers, unraveling their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as killers for 18 years,\u201d reads Apple TV\u2019s synopsis. \u201cThis riveting true-crime narrative, set against a backdrop of sex and murder in the Florida panhandle, promises to become an instant classic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stuart Zicherman (The Shrink Next Door<\/em>) will guide the series as showrunner, and Sarah DeLappe (Bodies Bodies Bodies<\/em><\/a>) adapted Mikita Brottman\u2019s novel.
