Warner Music<\/a> Finland<\/strong> has acquired the recorded music catalog and associated publishing rights of M\u00f6kkitie Records<\/strong>, the independent Finnish label home to singer-songwriter Arttu Wiskari<\/strong>.<\/p>\n As part of the agreement, Wiskari<\/strong> has signed a new multi-year artist deal with Warner Music Finland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The two companies announced the definitive agreement on Friday (July 3<\/strong>).<\/p>\n Under the deal, M\u00f6kkitie<\/strong>\u2018s catalog and publishing rights transfer to Warner Music<\/strong>, while the label\u2019s artists, founding members, and staff join Warner Music Finland<\/strong> and its wider network.<\/p>\n The two have worked together for close to a decade, with M\u00f6kkitie<\/strong>\u2018s releases issued jointly with Warner Music Finland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n M\u00f6kkitie<\/strong> Managing Director Olli Saksa<\/strong> joins Warner Music Finland<\/strong>\u2018s A&R team, and songwriter Janne Rintala<\/strong> continues to work with the company\u2019s songwriting teams.<\/p>\n Producer Mika Laakkonen<\/strong> will focus on studio work and lead a new label, Katutaso<\/strong>, which signed a distribution agreement with Warner Music<\/strong> in the spring of 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Financial terms of the deal between Warner Music Finland<\/strong> and M\u00f6kkitie Records<\/strong> were not disclosed.<\/p>\n M\u00f6kkitie Records<\/strong> was founded in 2012<\/strong>, following the success of Wiskari<\/strong>\u2018s singles M\u00f6kkitie<\/em> and Tuntematon potilas<\/em>.<\/p>\n The label has released all of Wiskari<\/strong>\u2018s albums since its founding, including Suomen muotoisen pilven alla<\/em>, which topped the Official Finnish albums chart in 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The company said its roster also includes Finnish artists Erika Vikman<\/strong>, Mira Luoti<\/strong>, and Olli Halonen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Vikman<\/strong> represented Finland<\/strong> at the Eurovision Song Contest<\/strong> in 2025<\/strong> with Ich komme<\/em>, finishing 11th in the grand final with 196<\/strong> points.<\/p>\n Her 2024 duet Ruoska<\/em>, with K\u00e4\u00e4rij\u00e4<\/strong>, has drawn more than 23 million<\/strong> streams on Spotify<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n Luoti<\/strong> is a co-frontwoman of PMMP<\/strong>, a Finnish pop-rock band of the 2000s that reunited in 2024<\/strong> with a concert at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Halonen<\/strong>\u2018s single Pohjola<\/em> topped Spotify<\/strong>\u2018s chart in Finland<\/strong> in early 2022<\/strong> and reached No.1<\/strong> on the Official Finnish singles chart.<\/p>\n He won Iskelm\u00e4 of the Year at the 2023 Emma Gaala<\/strong>, Finland<\/strong>\u2018s equivalent of the Grammy Awards.<\/p>\n \u201cM\u00f6kkitie Records has an exceptional track record in the Finnish industry, genuinely shaping the domestic music scene with its distinctive, story-driven approach.\u201d<\/p>\n Ramona Forsstr\u00f6m<\/strong>, Warner Music Finland<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Ramona Forsstr\u00f6m<\/strong>, Managing Director of Warner Music Finland<\/strong>, said: \u201cM\u00f6kkitie Records has an exceptional track record in the Finnish industry, genuinely shaping the domestic music scene with its distinctive, story-driven approach.
