July is a stacked month in the world of film, thanks to several acclaimed comedies and a brand new blockbuster from box office master Christopher Nolan<\/a>, which looks set to be his biggest movie yet.<\/p>\n The next few weeks offer up a variety of genres for those wishing to venture to the cinema \u2013 from big-budget releases to smaller indie fare \u2013 but films don\u2019t come more important than Life Support<\/a>, a groundbreaking new documentary about doctors who have been working on the frontlines in Gaza<\/a> since October 2023.<\/p>\n Footage presented in Daniele Rugo\u2019s film will chill you to the bone, as the cameras follow medics dealing with dwindling supplies, which are being denied entry to bombed-out hospitals, all while dealing with a constant flow of casualties.<\/p>\n Life Support is a challenging must-watch produced by actors Susan Sarandon and Melissa Barrera, musician Paul Weller, and Oscar-nominated and Bafta-winning filmmakers Farah Nabulsi and Asif Kapadia. The film is released on 10 July.<\/p>\n Arriving on 17 July is Christopher Nolan\u2019s The Odyssey<\/a>, which needs no introduction, but here\u2019s one anyway: it\u2019s the filmmaker\u2019s first movie since the Best Picture-winning Oppenheimer was released in 2023, and it\u2019s an adaptation of Homer\u2019s Greek epic starring Matt Damon as Odysseus. <\/p>\n It boasts one of the biggest ensemble casts of the year \u2013 Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Lupita N\u2019yongo and an apparently scene-stealing Samantha Morton \u2013\u00a0and is the director\u2019s first film to be shot entirely in IMAX.<\/p>\n Tom Holland in \u2018The Odyssey\u2019 (Universal Pictures)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Just a few weeks after The Odyssey<\/a>, Holland and Zendaya will be swinging onto screens once again for a fourth Spider-Man film, titled Brand New Day. <\/p>\n The sequel is set in the immediate aftermath 2021\u2019s Spider-Man: No Way Home and will have the task of setting things in motion ahead of forthcoming blockbuster Avengers: Doomsday, which will be released in December.<\/p>\n There\u2019s also Canadian cult comedy <\/a>Nirvanna: The Band \u2013 The Show \u2013 The Movie<\/a> and Olivia Wilde\u2019s The Invite.
